On May 20, 2013 Tripp received his angel wings and no longer felt the pain of not being able to breath.

On May 7th, Tripp got the call that he had new lungs.  After surgery began and they had prepared him for surgery, opened his left side and placed him on a heart/lung bypass, it was found that the lungs were compromised due to cancer cells in another organ.  They could not give him the lungs.

For 13 days he waited for another donor to become available.  As time progressed his organs began to fail and finally it was decided that he could not survive the transplant.

Tripp did open his eyes for short periods of time to let his family know he was ok the last days.  His path was not what we expected but the legacy he left behind is amazing.  Please feel free to get to know him on Facebook.  His page is open to the public and his family still maintains it.

We will continue our efforts of fundraising as time progresses to give his sister Jessica the same opportunity.  She also has CF and may one day be in the same position.

On February 19, 2013, Tripp was officially listed for a double lung transplant at The Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida.

He is currently #1 for his blood type!
